IF I WERE GOD

IF I WERE GOD
“As we grow up, we realize it becomes less important to have more friends and more important to have real ones.”
Everybody deserves a real best friend, me too. I have lots of best friends in my elementary school. We always went to canteen together, we bought the same snacks, but we did a lot together. Yet, since we graduate from the school, we grew apart, having different junior high school made it hard for us to stay together. As time passes, we had less communication. At that time, I thought, I didn’t really feels like I had best friends before because I don’t know how life’s going with them now, they don’t know me anymore. Our story ends.
When I enter my junior high, I was longing for a best friend. I mean the-real-best-friend. I wanted someone to share my experiences and secrets with. I wanted someone to understand me even if we go apart someday. I want to have a-timeless-real-best-friend. I really mean it. I started to imagine this friend. Often I imagined our conversations and what we would do, but I didn't give my imagination a face. I remember looking up in the sky and wishing for this friend.
I was selected to be acceleration student, at that class I found what I’d wished before. I had wished for a best friend, but the universe gave me so much more. I have met one of my soul mates. We can sense each other, and it just takes one look and we know what the other one is thinking. Hehe.
Her name is Amanda. Some of you may already know the story between Manda and I. Yap, she is my -timeless-best-friend-. I started to get to know her in the first year of junior high. We did some projects together and became closer and closer as we could talk for hours about nothing and everything. She was one of the easiest people to get along with. Everyone likes her. We were honestly the same person, saying the same things at the exact same time. Or saying something that one of us was about to say. Being this similar we got mad at each other easily is beautiful :)
We told each other things know one else knew. Kept secrets about each other and supported each other no matter what. We listened and really understood each other. I thank to God for sending me this girl. She is the strongest girl I’ve ever met as she got many temptations to deal with. In our 8th grade, her father was passed away because of a serious disease. It hurts her so much. Yet she can get up from this gloomy stage.
She really wants to get in Leadership Academy, the school I have studied in, but God has sets another way for her. Now she is studying in Senior High School 1 Malang, and she will graduate from that school this year as she continues her acceleration program. One more case I want to tell you, on the first year of our senior high school, her mother was passed away because of a cancer disease. This incident made her down. I tried to cheer her up everyday.  As I said before, -she is the strongest girl I’ve ever met-. One month, two months, her spirit rises again.
We have been best friend for almost 4 years. Even now we go apart and we are in the different school, we always keep our communication. We always ask each condition, we always support each other no matter what. I love being her best friends.

If I were God,
I would always be there to take care of her
If I were God,
I would prevent anything bad from happening to her
If I were God,
I would prevent tragedies from happening to her
If I were God,
I would bring her joy, not a single dismay
If I were God,
I would tell her she would never alone, and I would always beside her.

But I'm not, I'm only mortal

Dear Manda,
I know I can't always be by your side
I don't have special powers to always make you fells okay
You know, I sad when you fall and I can't help you up
But what can I do?

I’m only a 16th year old girl
I only can offer my love and unconditional friendship
I only can ask God to always take care of you, protect you
Take care there
I miss you so bad

Teenage Behaviors in Globalization Era

Globalization has attacked all aspects of human life such culture, social, economics, education and politics. Nowadays, we see some changes from the way people speak, dress, could feel how the atmosphere of advanced era is going on. Cultural contacts with other countries affect the traditional culture and character of the nation itself. As the world becomes more modern in this globalization era, there are so many technologies and cultures from other country come to Indonesia, it gives us many advantages but as we look further, this case will aggravate our culture feasibly. The adjustment of a teenager needs challenges, especially in this era that has a lot of changes from information technology. With no limits of information the young age people will get different kinds of information that will shape their own characters and self-discovery.

Nowadays, most of Indonesian teenagers become addicted with their gadgets due to the modernization of technology. Teens these days could easily search the following trends and stuffs from the Internet or mobile phone. They usually copy the western style. This thing can lead the decreasing of moral values and characters of Indonesian teenagers. The disappearance of values of the social and cultural will make teens don’t have a strong character. Furthermore, today they live in an individualistic milieu in which people are getting hectic with their own business so it can influence the characters of Indonesian teenagers become individualistic and difficult to be assimilated with their surrounding.

One alternative that can be done to resolve, at least reduce, the problem of teenage characters are education. The government has already made one adjudicate in the education sector to apply the character education in schools to diminish the effect of this case. This character education will help Indonesian teenagers learn how making a good relationship in their individualistic milieu. They will learn about altruism, how to adapt their selves in their society and what kind of good characters that they should have to protect them from any bad influences from outside in this globalization era. Role of parents in the family and the role of teachers in the school environment in character education for teenagers is expected to address the various problems facing Indonesia today, as well as to address issues that may arise in the future.

Between Bygone and Future

Hi there, Tasya was here. It’s always nice to see you again, dear my blog. Hehe. Although it was already the 30th day of 2014, I think it is never too late for me to look through my life in 2013 and make some new resolutions for this precious new year.

2013 was indeed a wonderful year for me. There are lots of memorable things happened. Let’s start from… um… A... B... C... D... oh yes D! -Dolphinity- Well, I live in a boarding school which is located quite far from my home. It means I can not live with my family here. I can not see my mother every day. I can not share some stories with my siblings every day, because I only have the chance to meet them once a week. This case has not only happened to me, but my friends also. Therefore, my school has divided us into several 'family' called 'house', and Dolphinity is the name of my house. Rumor said that students in a house have the same personalities. That is why my house becomes one of ‘my shoulders’ to walk on the days along this year. We were laughing and cried together. We have gone to several places such as Jatim Park, Tlogomas and played like a kindergarten student there. We did some crazy dancing, we have always been the winner of all the hilarious movie night, we celebrated our birthdays. Yeah. These pages will never enough to list them all. The Things I want to emphasize here is I just want to give my outstanding thanks to all of them. Thanks for being YOU along this year buddies. This is for you my beloved Rege, Riyo, Eris, Momod, Loka, Chris, and Made :)

Here we are! -Dolphinity-

Dolphin and Eagle celebrating Riyo's sweet 17 [September '13]

Last year was a very hectic year for me. I became the committee of the Road Show Earth Day 2013, Earth Hour 2013, ‘RAT’ of dormitory cooperative and School’s Anniversary Celebration 2013. I also became the treasurer of the Phenomenon of Art 2013. I was chosen to be the coordinator of Green Earth Community in my school, member of the Discipline Department in Dormitory Committee, and also became the member of the School’s Marketing and Communication. Besides, I had experienced so many things I have not got before by joining some program and competition such as PTS (Pathways to Success), YEP (Youth Entrepreneurship Program), IGCSE exam, writing short story competition, Physics Summit Competition 2013, and also became the most favorite 3D madding in ICEF Madding Competition 2013.

*sigh* I have passed so many things in 2013 and I am sure I can not pass all of those things
without people who always stay beside me. People who always support me in all the way I am. My mom, my father, my pals, dolphin, siblings, roommates, classmates, Made, Ni Luh, Dayin, Imron. *Gosh, I can not mention all of them*

beloved room mates :)) [October '13]

me and my siblings *hehe [December '13]

I often get the sudden bad mood and I can not control my emotion when it comes to me, I often got petrified on things I can not handle, grappled with deadlines, and cried many times, but those people were always staying to cheer me up all the times. Thanks, thanks, thanks. You are all my catalyst!

2014. This year I will be seventeen. I should reflect on how things have gone this year and also set new goals for 2014. I should become a better girl, better daughter, better friend, better student, better Tasya! No more childish, no more moody, no more laziness, stop crying about stupid things, be more proactive, no more reactive! I will turn the impossible into possible, learn more new things, and be wise. I hope I can keep togetherness with people I love, all of the people I have mentioned before.

I am the force. Yes, I am. Be my year, dear 2014.

ARTHUR GOES TO CAMP

Hi! It’s been too long that I was not writing anything here since my last post two months ago, and now I am back!
Well, it’s story time! :D
Some weeks ago, my teacher gave me an assignment to make a storybook. I’ve made it with a lot of creations of 3D pop up, but I am sorry I can not show you the pictures of the book because I have already submitted it to my teacher (maybe later I will post it ‘-‘v).

By the way, I am sure all of you have your own favorite fairy tale. My favorite one is rapunzel, how is yours? Is it “Cinderella”? “Snow white”? or “Beauty and “The Beast”?

Ciderella ?

Snow White ?
Beauty and The Beast ?
Perhaps you like to read a fable such as “The Tortoise and The Ducks” or “The Horse and The Wolf”? I have my own fable. It’s about “Arthur”.

This is Arthur. Say Hi to Arthur! :)

This is the story, enjoy reading :)

ARTHUR GOES TO CAMP

Once upon a time, there lived an intrepid cute rabbit named Arthur. Arthur was an orphan. He lived with his grandma and his little sister, Kuggy, in a hut.
One day, Kuggy got a high fever. Grandma had already given her medicine, but her body temperature was still high. Arthur and grandma felt pity to see Kuggy, who used to be cheerful and attractive, felt asleep in bed with a limp. Various kinds of medicine had been given, but Kuggy wasn’t recovered. Arthur and grandma were confused about what they should do to help Kuggy get well as soon as possible.
Grandma suddenly remembered, there was a miraculous cure that could cure all kinds of disease. This medicine is made from zuazua flower which is located in the Gorgorus forest. This forest is located 5 kilometers from their hut.
Being compassionated with his little sister, Arthur asked permission to Grandma to go to the Gorgorus forest to find the the zuazua flower.
"How if you can’t find the zuazua flower until the sky turns dark?" asked grandma.
"I will stay in the forest, Grandma. I will prepare all the equipments tonight. I will ask my friend, Tino, to accompany me."
Next morning, Arthur and Tino went to the Gorgorus forest. After walking around 2 hours, they finally arrived at the forest. They began to look for the zuazua flowers. Grandma said that the zuazua flowers had a golden color and grew in places that are not exposed to sunlight. Arthur and Tino looked at all the places, even into the cave. But they still had not found it. They asked Mr. Deer, Mr. Turtle, sparrows, but no one knew where the zuazua flowers were.
The sun was almost drowned. Arthur and Tino finally decided to stay in the forest. Arthur set up a tent while Tino was gathering firewood to make a bonfire. Then they burned marshmallows over a bonfire. "Hmm, yummy" said Arthur. They sing together to relieve fatigue while waiting for marshmallows well-cooked. That was the first camp activity for Arthur. Arthur was very happy tonight because he could figure out what it's like to sleep in the middle of the the forest accompanied by melodious singing owls. But he was also sad because the medicine to treat Kuggy still hasn’t found yet. He did not want his decision going to camp ended in vain.
"We have to find a zuazua flowers tomorrow, now let's sleep. Goodnight Tino" said Arthur to Tino.
Next morning, they tided up their belongings and moved on looking for the zuazua flower.
"Hey, Arthur! Look, there is a river. Let's go there. I'm thirsty "Tino said.
                "Okay, let's go there"
On the riverbank, Arthur saw a glowing behind the buckeye tree. Then he went to light it and shout for joy.
"WOW! Look at that, Tino! I found the the zuazua flowers! "Arthur said happily.
"Wow! You are right. This is the flower. Let’s go back to the hut”
They returned to the hut. Grandma welcomed them with joy. Then swiftly grandma made the medicine from the zuazua flowers and gave it to Kuggy . After taking the medicine, Kuggy suddenly got healthy. Her body temperature decreased, and her face was not pale anymore. They were all happy to see Kuggy smile again.
**the end**

“They were all happy to see Kuggy smile again”, as people say, everything will be happy in the end, if it’s not happy it’s not the end. Yey, finish :D

In addition, I want to share with you all about how to make an interesting storybook that will attract the reader. One trick that you can use is by decorating your book with colorful and eye-catching design. Perhaps you can make 3D pop up like what I used in my book. If you want to try how to make some pop up, check this out:

These are the pictures of pop up

Happy trying :D thanks for reading this :) bye.

CRISS-CROSS!

There are perhaps many secrets in the world that are just awaiting serendipity.  Maybe we will find some hidden historical places in our town, or somewhere hidden treasure around our domicile. But, where are they? What happened to them?

I started my escapade to find some secret treasures around my dormitory. Yep, I am a pupil in a senior high school boarding. This boarding school located in the outskirts Malang City where you will find some international school and many potential places, called Tlogowaru. This region is actually located far away with the glory of the central city. But when you roam it further, you will see the beautiful sceneries of Tlogowaru and some grandiose buildings there.

Okay, let’s back to my escapade -->

I started my escapade here

I went along that street.  Take sight to find a unique hidden place.  It was an awesome sight to behold, but what I got is just a carpet of rice field. Then I continued my journey, walked along the street until I met with this T-intersection.

Firstly, I want to go on that way,

but something inside my self instigate me to walk on the other way. Hoho (^o^)”

That is it.

I walked along that pathway. It is just an asphalt pavement, seems like a blind alley (but it is not) and this is the scenery along that street -->

-rice field-
And this…

Hey guys. Can you see it? There is a mosque in the middle of field!

Wow. I do not think that I will find it there. An orange mosque which is looks so luxurious around the trees. Let’s go there..

I was impressed when I saw this mosque. This mosque is actually not too big, but the design of this building makes it so catchy. The small park in front of it makes it more beautiful.
This is the picture,

The name of this mosque is Syekh Abdul Aziz Bin Baz. The name was taken from the one who finance the construction of this mosque. Syekh Abdul Aziz Bin Baz is a benefactor from Saudi Arabia who was rendered his riches to build some mosque in Indonesia and Tlogowaru was chosen to be one of the places he would build the mosque in.

Syekh Abdul Aziz Bin Baz mosque has two entrances. The first is for man, and the second for woman. This mosque has complete facilities. The place for taking ‘wudhu’ was great, quiet big, and clean. Moreover, it has been distinguished, which one for men, which one for women. In addition, there is also a parking space reserved for visitors who come using a bike, motorcycle, or maybe a car.
These are the pictures -->

Women's entrance

Men's place for wudhu

In front of this mosque, there is a white building. Mr. Syaiful, the one I interviewed, said to me that this building will be used as an orphanage. This is the building -->

Okay, that’s all about Syekh Abdul Aziz Bin Baz mosque. Are you are interested in this place? Visit it! You will see the beauty of a luxurious mosque amid the awesome scenery of the rice fields.
